Everything unravelling, page ripped from the journal, cold, lonely, the loss of what was. trying to look a bit like a journal/collage
Concept 2
Things that are reminiscent of Clementine. the things that she brought into Joel's life and would remind him of her.
Concept 3
Losing a single person from your memories. the dark spot left behind, the loneliness of something lost. The dark side of what Lacuna offers.
Concept 4
Darkness closing in, the struggle to hold on to that person.
Concept 5
Getting back to the journal, combining it with the presence of Lacuna Inc. Joel's doubts and thoughts with Clem's style and a memento of them.

i'm a fan of concept 4. i think the aesthetic you've created is very much like the movie. i also think that the entire concept gives the right hint of the movie's storyline without giving it all away. I think some of your other ideas are more like movie trailers and give away just a little too much to be a title sequence.
the one thing you might reconsider is making the yellow-ish tint a bluer color. the whole movie has a very cold feeling even though it is a love story. but the imagery in it i think is closer to blue/gray-ish...
Hey Chelsea! Me and Sara just looked at your concepts and I think we both liked #4 best. The other ones seemed a little bit cute/pretty compared to the aesthetic of the movie. The Lacuna one is cool looking but it gives a lot away about the plot and takes a lot of the mystery out of the rest of the movie. Number 4 has the psychological feel of the movie down nicely. I really like the picture you chose of the hands. You just need to flesh it out more. We're working on storyboarding right now and its helping me a lot to just go on paper and write out section by section what I want to happen. I think once you flesh out whats going to happen in #4 it could be really good!
oh, also, i like the smokey/hazey effect of that picture - use more of that!
Just a technical thing. Save your files as pngs to post. Your pdfs are HUGE. you will want to try to keep things under a mb.

I think the file idea mixed with the journal has the most possibilities. There can be an interesting contrast between the clinical text (responsible for erasing) and the personal text of the journal (in a way responsible for "building" memories). This tension feel like it is ripe for exploration. You may even want to think of behaviors for your visual elements. If one font represents one thing - how would it "act" on stage - how would it "react" to the other visual elements?
This one also seems the most considered in terms of composition. They all have a collage-like feel and it can sometimes be hard to keep collages together visually (have unity). this one is the most successful in terms of that.
